Construction
of District Administrative Complex has been taken up an
estimated cost of Rs. 33.50 crores at Nandani Samba over 224
kanals of land acquired for the purpose. Besides, completion of
Double lane approach road, provision of water and power
supply, construction of conference Hall is targeted to be
completed by end of July 2008 and DC/DDC office by December
2008.
Implementation of NREGA extended in whole district Samba with
effect from 1-4-2008
District Health society ,Samba stands registered and starts its
functioning effective from 1-4-2008 to prepare and implement
National Rural Health Mission (NHRM). Block wise Action Plan for
construction of health infrastructure stands framed.
District Rural Development Agency- Samba got registered under
co-operative Societies Registration Act. and has started
functioning.
District Red Cross society –District Samba has also been
registered and started functioning.
Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) is in process of
registration.
Zila Saksharta Samiti to formulate an Action Plan under Total
Literacy Campaign (TLC) has been constituted and under the process
of registration.
District Motor Garages ,Samba has been strengthened by providing
four vehicles Viz. two Ambassador Cars and two Gypsies- King
with Hard Top against additionality of Rs.20.00 lacs provided by
the government for the purpose.
Newly created offices including Camp offices equipped with
furniture, fixture and other equipments (Computer, Photo
copiers etc.) against additionality of Rs.50.00 lacs provided by
the Government for the purpose.
In order to boost and harness Tourism potential in the District,
Suinsar-Mansar Development Authority is implementing its
developmental Plans at Mansar ,Utterbeni and Purmandal. Besides
Jammu Festival was organized at Samba, Purmandal ,Narsigh Dev
Temple Ghagwal, Baba Sidhgoria Temple Swankha Harminder Temple
Vijaypur and Mansar in District Samba ,which was actually
participated by thousands of people.
3 Nos. Model Villages at Rajinder Singh Pura ,Bri Kamila,
Rangoore camp under Prime Minister s Reconstruction Plan and
Village Sadoh developed under BADP, where 90% works stands
completed.
